Solar Cell Manufacturing


Creating solar cells and saving the earth is not that hard when you choose the right company. ULVAC is a leading equipment supplier for thin film solar cell manufacturing. Ulvac’s thin film solar cell manufacturing began as early at the 1980s, since that time ULVAC has accumulated extensive experience and knowledge on thin film solar cell fabrication.

Over the years, ULVAC has developed and installed a large number of reliable PECVD and PVD systems for solar cell mass production. The thin film solar cells manufactured by ULVAC equipment have demonstrated a lifetime of 20+ years.

ULVAC offers a complete turnkey production line of amorphous silicon (a-Si) and micro-crystalline tandem junction thin-film solar cells. The turnkey line allows our customers to produce solar panels right after installing the equipment, shortening the time to bring the product to the market and the time to ramp factory output.  ULVAC has a complete turnkey demonstration line installed at its headquarters in Chigasaki, Japan in order to help our customers continuously improve their process and production efficiency.


Thin Film
 
Crystalline
Complete TurnKey systems for the Production of aSi or Tandem Si Solar Cells. Production lines consist of the CCV Series of Inline CVD systems or the CMD Cluster style CVD system. Rounding out the complete line are the SCH Sputter Tools and a Laser system
 

ULVAC offers a line of equipments for mono-crystalline or poly-crystalline based solar cell manufacturing.  The lineup includes PVD system for depositing metal contact, PECVD system for depositing anti-reflective coating, Dry Etch system for texturing.

Compound
ULVAC offers PVD system for various substrate types and sizes to deposit TCO and back metal contact layers for the compound solar cell (CIS, CIGS, CdTe) manufacturing.
