URGENT REQUIREMENTS FOR FIELD SERVICE ENGINEERS at the
following locations:
- Lehi, Utah
- Burlington, Vermont
- Dallas, Texas
- Olive Branch, Mississippi
Responsible to provide customer support for a wide range of ULVAC
products including CVD, PVD and etch semiconductor equipment, vacuum components and
thin film solar equipment. Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
- Acts as an intermediary between product, customer and factory.
- Performs equipment installations from hardware setup through
process qualification.
- Plans for and completes all levels of preventative and corrective
maintenance.
- Troubleshoots technical issues to component level.
- Diagnose and recommend solutions for complex equipment downs.
- Performs complex retrofits and may occasionally organize and lead
retrofit activities.
- Understands and performs all process qualifications of equipment
including ability to utilize customer's metrology equipment.
- Uses routine equipment and process data to diagnose equipment issues.
- Utilizes equipment schematics and mechanical drawings to diagnose
equipment issues.
- Uses written procedures to maintain equipment and may be required to
correct or write procedures and methodologies.
- Participates in and may lead customer meetings.
- Assist field management in establishing and achieving objectives for
assigned accounts.
- Reports to and keeps immediate supervisor informed of customer issues
and equipment performance.
- Takes initiative to avoid and resolve customer problems.
- Provides technical guidance to less experienced FSE's.
- Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of equipment
and may be required to give formal class training.
- Follows all ULVAC safety initiatives.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to quickly gasp new concepts without formal training.
- Can deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Ability to effectively use hand tools, meters, scopes and other
specialized troubleshooting equipment.
- Ability to routinely lift, pull or push objects up to 50 lbs. with
or without assistance.
- Capable of working and making decisions independently.
- Ability to effectively communicate in a multi-lingual and culturally
diverse environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook)
Working Conditions:
- May be exposed to cramped work space, mechanical, electrical,
and/or chemical hazards.
- Requires attentiveness to safety precautions at all times.
- Occasionally will be required to work rapidly for long periods
of time; will routinely bend, stoop, reach, and walk.
- Shift work and pager duty may be required as needed.
- Travel as required.
Education:
- ASEET and 5 - 7 years electro-mechanical experience or equivalent.
- BSEET and 4 - 5 years electro-mechanical experience or equivalent.
- At least 3 years experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Requires possession of a current driver's license and passport.
- Must be willing and able to travel both regionally and internationally.
- CVD equipment experience is beneficial but not required.
- Japanese language studies or understanding is beneficial but not required.
APPLICATIONS ENGINEER - Boise, ID
Support our flagship import systems for PVC/CVD/Etching processes. Will be required
to work up to 50% in a clean room environment. Candidate should have a B.S. degree in
Electrical Engineering, Physics or Material Science with 5+ years' semiconductor
experience in PVD/CVD/Etch. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Learn all aspects of the 300mm PVD/CVD tool and processes
- Learn all aspects of ULVAC's Etch system line-up and processes
- Create and follow up on weekly action item list
- Feedback customer information to the local and overseas factory
- Support Electrical/Mechanical/Process Engineering for the tool
- Provide Field Service Engineers with installation schedule,
engineering advice, technical support, etc.
- Create additional documentation for the systems as needed by the customer
- Develop and assist with tool training for the customer
- Create parts lists for each system
- Assist customer and CSL team with parts support
- Will need to troubleshoot Electrical/Mechanical/Process issues with the tool
- Anticipate customer needs and proactively work with factory to ensure those needs are met
- Travel requirements 25-50%
Skills/Qualifications:
- Proficiency in reading schematics and mechanical assembly drawings,
and troubleshooting with a multimeter.
- Experience in using RGA's and Helium Leak detectors
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Outlook)
- Good organization and communication (oral and written) skills, meticulous,
and can work with minimal supervision
- Japanese language skills, a plus
- Working knowledge and understanding of basic engineering concepts and vacuum technology
